Rubber gasket material selector

Choose NBR, EPDM, Silicone, FKM, PTFE or PU for a Custom Rubber Gasket Quote

Use this buyer tool to narrow the first gasket material direction by media, temperature, outdoor exposure and application. MCHEN reviews the final drawing or sample before confirming material, hardness and production price.

Material Selector

Select the main working condition. The result is a starting point for RFQ discussion, especially when you do not yet have a final compound specification.

Request Quote

For a precise quote, send OD, ID, thickness, hardness target, working media, temperature, pressure, quantity and a drawing or sample photo.

Rubber Gasket Material Chart

A comparison table gives search users and procurement teams a fast answer before they contact MCHEN for a confirmed material recommendation.

How Buyers Use This Page Before RFQ

Material uncertainty

When the drawing only says rubber, the selector helps buyers describe media, temperature and hardness instead of asking for a vague black rubber gasket.

Cost control

For price-sensitive orders, the page helps identify when NBR or EPDM may be enough and when expensive FKM or PTFE is really needed.

Failure replacement

If a gasket failed because of oil, weather, heat or compression set, the comparison table helps identify the first material to review.

Custom quotation

The final CTA routes visitors to a rubber gasket quote path with material context, supporting better lead quality for MCHEN.

Need a Confirmed Rubber Gasket Material and Price?

FAQ: Rubber Gasket Material Selection

Which rubber gasket material is best for oil or fuel?

NBR is usually the first material to review for mineral oil, diesel, grease and general fuel exposure when temperature is moderate. FKM is worth reviewing when temperature or chemical exposure is stronger.

Which gasket material should be used outdoors?

EPDM is commonly selected for outdoor weather, ozone, water and steam exposure. It should not be used with petroleum oil or hydrocarbon fuel.

Can MCHEN quote from a sample instead of a drawing?

Yes. A drawing is preferred, but a sample photo, dimensions, material target, hardness, media, temperature and order quantity can start a custom rubber gasket quotation.

Does the selector replace engineering review?

No. The selector gives a first material direction. MCHEN reviews the drawing, sample, working media, pressure and assembly condition before confirming production material.
